 Welcome to ECONnections

ECONnections contains standards-based lesson plans adapted from NCEE printed materials for the Internet with interactive activities for students.

The most exciting and innovative aspect of ECONnections is its use of "volunteer experts" from The McGraw-Hill Companies. Our debut lesson features an interesting audio interview with Lacey Gallagher, Director of Latin American Ratings with Standard & Poor's. Over the next several weeks we will add lessons so please bookmark this page and visit us again.

A note to teachers: Teachers may use the lesson in the classroom using the student version of the procedures section. Please note that the answers to the various questions appear in "popup windows". In the teacher version these answers appear on the page to make it easier to print them with the questions. Teachers could also assign all or part of the lesson to students to study independently or in groups. Our WEBQUEST activities provide opportunities for independent research to be done in class or as homework assignments.

We welcome your comments and suggestions, which you may send to: webmaster@economicsamerica.org
